Krish, This is not a simple topic and there is no easy or "one size fits all" answer. This is where it really helps to understand the nature of your data and the different relationships between the tables. In some cases it probably doesn't make sense to do a standard join at all because of the uneven multiplying effect that it will have on your aggregations. In those cases perhaps some specialized ETL is needed. I hope other experts will chime in with their thoughts, but I would try to consult with the architects of your data for their input of what you are trying to do.
