The main reason is that in the Primary Analyst and Report Type sheets, no linking attributes to the other sheets were used to build said sheets.
Then you can either do the following or click on dashboard in the top bar>Actions>Filter and build a custom filter.
Same approach can be done with the remaining sheet.
Hope this helps!
I tried the same approach. The only problem is publication type repeats. Any solution for that?
Loved the way you did it in gif's. May I know which tool do you use it to create the same? I would love to follow this approach.
Thanks and Regards,
I like the screen videos you are uploading.
I think this is a great tool and great way of assisting within the community.
Would love to know the tool you are using.
Bassem: others have mentioned this, but great animated posts. Very helpful.
Same feedback as Ashish above.
I tried with the primary analyst, but each analyst is listed multiple times in the Action Filter. I only want to show them once.
Sorry for the late reply... Thank you all for your positive feedback, I appreciate it! I don't know the forum's rules for advertising other tools but the one I'm using is a freeware so I guess that's okay It's called "ScreenToGif"
As for the post question regarding publication duplication, I will try and look at that with you guys today...
Thanks Bassem for tool name. I will surely make use of this tool.
Overall motive behind asking the tool name was to make community even better in terms of responses. I hope admin & community don't mind this.
I think Bassem answered the question as to why the filters were not working. As to getting them working my first suggestion would be to join the data rather than blend it, then you have all your data in a single data source. If all the data has a clean one-many relationship between FACTSET.Report_ID and READERSHIP.vendor_doc_id I don't see any benefit to blending.
There may be other ways to get this working by setting up primary and secondary data sources differently but joining the two data sources seems like the easiest solution
Very cool utility Bassem.
If there is a reason a the data can't be joined I'll take a more thorough look at the workbook.
I've attached an example using joined data.
