    Achievement gap viz from NYT

I thought this crowd would appreciate this viz from the New York Times last week that shows academic achievement (in what skills measured by what assessments it doesn't say) by race and class. The information's not new, but it's impactful to see visually nonetheless. I especially found the first one interesting-- it includes a lookup so you can search for particular districts.

One a different note, I see these bubble scatterplots a lot around the Tableau space. Has anyone ever built and used this type of report? What was it for and how was it received?
