You can change the marks from line to area it will fill the space. See the screen shot

• ###### 2. Re: Fill the color betwen two lines

Hi Mahfooj,

Im looking only the color shade between lines meaning the gape between two lines not the complete area shaded.

Thanks,

Sri

I got your point the way you wanted is impossible in tableau. Rather you can do something like this

create a calculated field to get the delta between sales and profit. See the screenshot

Then use this calculated field in your chart and change the marks from line to area. Your chart will be like this

Hi sridhar,

If you notice the screen shot i have used measure values instead of using individual pills of profit and measures.

after that what i did is i added a reference line like in the screen using band and i selected there as minimum and maximum

Please use the link below for a complete solution to this problem from Jonathan Drummey.

I simplified the solution and got a visualization that looks like this:

I hope it helps.

Thanks Yun.

Can you please tell me the steps. I mean the formula for white measures you have created.

Thanks

Sridhar

Sure.  The formula for "White" is:

MIN(SUM([Sales]),SUM([Profit])).

Also, please don't forget to turn off the stack marks when you're building this visualization.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

This is the formula

white=IF SUM(sales) > SUM(profit) THEN SUM(profit]) ELSE SUM(sales) END
