If you are only interested in those specific types of filters, what about concatenating the zip codes (separating them with some delimiter), then filtering on that calculated field? See attached. Need to address the leading zeroes disappearing, but that should be manageable.

That is a pretty nifty solution. Thanks for your prompt reply. I had tried a similar solution with a combined field but I couldn't get the Wildcard Match entry option.
Part of the viz request was to allow the viewers to see the zip codes by relevant values and then select which codes to filter. With this solution they will need to know the exact zip code since picking every combination with a non-Wildcard Match filter would be cumbersome.
I'm still wondering if there's isn't some way to enter a value and have it apply to two different fields and have that value (list of zips) limited to the data in scope. If you have any other thought's, I'd love to hear them.
Thank you again!
Just wanted to get clarification on the Wildcard selection.
The last workbook had the Filter Type set at "Wildcard Match",
but does setting it to "Multiple Values (Custom List)" get you closer to what you need?
One can sequentially type in multiple values, like 123 and 333,
but the match provides maybe too many options,
and makes the user decided if they want to select it or not.
