I am trying to identify a way in Tableau to timestamp a specific moment in time. I am trying to track revenue targets. Once total revenue hits a certain threshold, I want to be able to have a way to identify those specific deals that occurred before and after the threshold was met.
I am unable to share are sample workbooks, but I have a working knowledge of the theory behind how Tableau works. If anyone is able to articulate the theory behind a potential way to do this, It would be greatly appreciated!
Or perhaps there is a better way of approaching this situation?
The link below may be helpful.
You might be able to use an If/Then statement in combination with one of the date functions above.
For example, If Datepart('year', [Date]) < 2014 then "Complete" Else "Working" End
Hope this helps!
