I think @VizCandy just renamed Number of Records as Strikes. It is a generated field on any Tableau workbook so you can get a record count.
if [Effect: Indicated Damage] then 1 else 0 end
So the chance of damage is either going to return 0% (0/1) or 100% (1/1). She then used the avg. of this field on the injury worksheet.

so when you aggregate it (I.e., Sum) you can get the number of records.
SUM([Strikes]) = number of records in the data source.
