    Hiring Data Visualisation lead at Questback (London)

      We are looking for a full-time permanent data visualisation consultant / data architect. The successful candidate will likely have prior experience as a data visualisation specialist and be able to transform customer requirements into high quality ‘real-time’ dashboards.  They will become an expert in extracting data from Questback’s software, specifying data translation schemas and building this into effective visualisation tools appropriate to feedback data.

       

      The role will be hands on, working as part of a team delivering to customers and includes some customer facing activity and presales activity. The UK office is growing rapidly at the moment as the business expands and this represents a great opportunity for someone to play a leading part in our success as we grow.

       

      Responsibilities

      • Engage with clients to gather requirements for product setup (Dashboards, ETL, Data Sources)
      • To build leading data visualisation solutions for clients
      • To become an internal expert on Questback products
      • To support pre-sales activities with internal consultancy and demonstration material
      • To work as part of a team to achieve the departmental quality standards
      • To work together with other departments within the organisation and across borders

       

      The candidate

      This role would suit someone from a technical consulting development background who can be flexible and think outside the box when developing solutions.  The successful candidate will use modern software, along with software development skills, to help those companies get closer to the conversation with their customers and employees through advanced online feedback systems.

       

      Software and technology understanding

      Having a strong interest and background in real-time data visualization, software and web development and online feedback.

      Skills - Essential

      • Experience specifying and building real-time dashboards.
      • Extensive experience with data visualisation / reporting tools.
      • A deep understanding of data architecture best practices.
      • Knowledge and practical experience of ETL tools.
      • Deep understanding of web technologies.
      • Proficient with data manipulation/analysis tools.
      • Sufficient business acumen to understand real customer requirements

      Skills - Desirable (technical):

      • Advanced knowledge of Tableau software
      • Advanced knowledge of Alteryx software
      • Experience with UX in the context of web development.
      • Experience using PHP, JavaScript and CSS
      • Graphics / UI design experience.

      Skills - Useful (business):

      • Experience working within a software sales organisation.
      • Experience working with on-line feedback systems (Satmetrix, Confirmit, Dimensions, Medallia, Askia or similar).
      • Working within teams on large systems implementation projects.
      • Ability to flesh out customer requirements into a workable brief.
      • Track record of successful customer relationships during product delivery

      Business understanding

      Demonstrable interest in understanding customer use cases in industrial processes and organisations. Ability to capture essential usage or use case related information from broader set of information and distil that into requirements, tasks, and actions

      Self-starter, willing to forge their own way in a growing company and seize opportunities for themselves.

      Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss on any level in customers’ organisation
