# How to calculate increase/decrease percentage?

Dear all,

I want to achieve something like followings, Thank you very very much for your help in advance!!

Step 1. Count the number of activity in a given time frame (set time frame as a filter, last 7 days, 10 days, 14 days, etc.)   --- I know how to do this part

Step 2. Calculate the percentage change: compare the number of activity from this time frame to previous frame (for example, if my time frame filter was last 2 days, then compare the total number of activity from last 2 days（March 7 and March 6)  to that of previous 2 days (March 5 and March 4).

Step3: If the percentage is up, I need to mark that number as red and have that up arrow; If the percentage is down, I need to mark that number as green and have that down arrow

Thank you very very much for your help!

Best,

This can be done using table calculation functions, like LOOKUP() or WINDOW_SUM(). It can be challenging to hide the rest of the table in order to show just the percentage. Is the format you show absolutely required? Can you attach a packaged workbook illustrating what you have been able to accomplish so far?
