Thanks for responding. This is not what I want. The tabs have to be exactly like in the sheet I uploaded as it had different filters in the original workbook and tab 1 not across regions but just total of Segment A.
Tab 2 segment B and total across all regions
Then I want the view to be calculated as below. Screenshots in previous email.Segment A was Tab 1 as it has different filters and only total for segment A filter and Tab 2 is Segment B filter and across regions.
--Then get total from Tab 1 + Tab 2 (grand totals of all region) = Total (Region + Sales)
-- Then divide tab 1(segment A) total sales / Total (total of Region+Sales)
-- Divide tab 2 Central/Total (total of Region+Sales)
Below view and screenshots give an idea of what i am trying to achieve
Segment A Segment B (filter) Market Share
Date Ttl Sales Central South Grand Ttl of Region Total (Region + Sales) catA Sales Central South
12/12/13 3330 3290 2982 6273 9603 (3330+6273) =3330/9603 =3290/9603 =2982/9603
Pls let me know if i need to explain further
Can u upload the sample workbook.
I have it's in my original thread. Attaching again.
Tab 1- total sales for customer segment A
Tab 2- total sales for customer segment B across all regions
Thanks for your help
