Number of Users than can log in

    Lazy Rambler

      Hi,

We have a new 8 core single server installation and we have been doing some load testing using Tabjolt.

I would like to know how can we test the number of people that can be logged into the server at a point of time. I'm not talking about concurrent users. Like, some people can view reports, some people can just login etc.

In your installations similar to the configuration we have, how many users will be able to login to the Tableau Server.

      Thanks

We do not have a method to test the number of people that can be logged into Tableau Server.  The challenge is that this will vary depending on the complexity of the visualizations combined with the frequency of data refresh needs as well as the memory allocation and processor speed of the server hardware.  In general an 8 core single node installation can support the ~ 60-120 concurrent users and up to ~ 1200 total users.

          I hope this helps.

          Cheers,

          Brian
