The reshaper tool only affects Excel, so it should be fine to have it on the same computer as 9.2.
It could definitely still be helpful if you'd like to reshape some data in Excel prior to bringing it into Tableau.
I have Office 2010 and latest version of Tableau 9.2. After installing the reshaper tool I'm unable to see in the add-ins section. I followed the advice to use admin rights as well as to look under "disabled" add-ins. No bueno. I'm wondering if there are any other suggestions you might have. Thanks
You should see a new "Tableau" tab when installed correctly.
After running the setup exe, make sure you click "File -> Options -> Add-Ins", then at the bottom of that screen click "Go" with "Excel Add-ins" selected.
Make sure "Tableau 7" is selected and click "OK".
You will have to close and restart excel for it to show up in the menu.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Derrick for the quick response. Unfortunately I'm unable to see both the tab or the add-in. As far as I can tell the file has been installed properly.
