We are currently on Tableau Server 10.1, but it started probably sometime in the early Tableau Server 9.x versions. I usually have to open the Tableau Configuration, re-enter the password, then restart the computer. Tableau Server won't come back online after updating the password, it only works if I restart the whole server computer.
