We are currently using Tableau Server 8.2. In our organisation, we have enabled guest account for users to allow access only to certain workbooks/views. What we want to do now is have to monitor the guest user account?
I know the user activity can be monitored by using one of the administration views. What I am looking at is there any way we could see see from which ip address the guest account has accessed the workbook/views.
I am new to Tableau Administration and I am struggling to find an answer. Hope you people can help me?
if you have enabled readonly access to your internal Tableau postgres repository, then you should be able to retrieve the required data from _http_requests. There is a field called user_ip, user_id, and a bunch of other really good stuff in here.
