I can help on the parameter but I was just wondering why don't you drag the date dimension onto the filters pane and apply that to all worksheets?
The reason your [Month] parameter works while your [Date] parameter does not work is because the strings aren't matching.
Your calculated field linking the parameters says DATENAME( 'month',[Date] ) which will give you a result of January, February, March, etc. instead of January 2015, February 2015, March 2015...
Thus, using the [Month] parameter your logic is:
If "January" = "January" then...
which will render true.
Whereas using the [Date] parameter your logic is:
If "January" = "January 2015" then...
which will render false because the text within the string does not match.
Here you go
Editing the appearance of the MONTH parameter will suffice.

Thank you, Alexander!
Thank you, Ailsa. What would be your suggestion to match the strings?

To change it, you just have to change the values in the Date parameter so that your formula will now be:
If "January 2015" = "January 2015" then...
so therefore the names will match and the calculated fields will hold true.
Thank you, Ailsa.
