BEx (Business Explorer) is the reporting tool used to work with data in the BW database. If you want to create the same reports in Tableau then you have to connect with BW database & then according to your reports you can take your tables.
But yes there are limitations to connect with SAP BW also - SAP BW Extract Limitations | Tableau Software

so we need to create that BEx query in Tableau. As i am using Tableau 8.1, is that possible?

1 of 1 people found this helpfulYes you can use same query in Tableau Custom SQL for getting the data but yes you have to recreate your reports from scratch in Tableau.
