Tableau Server 9 - hide "General Filters"

    Gareth Jones

We upgraded to Tableau Server 9 yesterday, and one of my clients just asked "Why can I see a list of your clients on the left?" - how can I hide the "Owner" part - or all - of the general filters?  Or at least stop users from seeing each other?

          Hi Garth --

Admins generally use the "Sites" feature to put users in different "slices" of the server when you don't want them to see each other - This is the equivalent of putting them in different "rooms" of the Tableau hotel. It sounds like right now, you've put all the users in the default site: "a dorm" (single site) so they can see each other.

There is no way to hide the filter bar on the left.
