I'm going to move this to Server Admin as you may get more views/ replies.
In the theme of urgency... Have you tried
a) restarting the server
b) trying a different web browser
Are you used menu action to filter sheets not added dashboard.
if you added menu action like above then we can send dashboard and drill down sheet in to server then only the menu work.
What was the Action, what is it supposed to do?
I have the same issue with Menu filters working on Desktop and not on the Server 9.0. Does anyone know if this has gotten resolved?
My menu filters will filter on sheets that are not part of the dashboard. On publishing to server, I made sure that "View sheets as Tabs" is checked - so that the action filters work. But still does not.

Hi Asha / All,
What i have figured and what worked for me is ::
One got to put "Something to Show" (Calculated Field,Parameter, etc.) on the tooltip and not just the "Menu Action" when you upload it on the Server .
If you just upload the dashboard having a worksheet with no Tooltip and only the "Menu Action/Actions" ,You wont see the "Menu Action" box appearing. (As a result ,you will guess it is not working).
May be a BUG ...but this is how Tableau Server is..
Hope that helps
I ran into similar issues with reports that I created, containing multiple actions and menu filters. One thing I found in particular with the Menu actions, if you use URL filters, all the menu actions WILL appear on server. Because I did not use the action to filter any of the data on the secondary views, the URL filter worked perfectly for that simple, unfiltered navigation. I made a single worksheet to serve as a navigation menu, and added 8 different URL filters, along with 1 ACTUAL menu filter, in order to navigate to each of the other worksheets/dashboards. All 9 links show up on server perfectly.
I hope this helps :-)
I had the same issue and though I tried this first: Filter Actions Stopped Working in Tableau Server | Tableau Software in the end akarsh agnivesh answer helped to find my solution.
I did not need to add a value for the Tooltip though just needed to make sure I have the 'Show Tooltip' ticked (click on tooltip on Marks Card and it should be in the bottom left corner).
I originally thought that disabling the Tooltip (un-tick Show Tooltip) will save me time instead of deleting one by one everything from it on each sheet, I was wrong as in the end it took more time to figure out why my Menu dashboard actions don't work on Tableau Server.
Thanks again for the help.
I have a dashboard that uses and action to get the detail behind a stacked bar chart. I created a simple detail report, but was unable to see it work on server.
However, when I published the detail report and am 'show sheets as tabs', the dashboard action worked.
Yes Akarsh is correct. I had one of our users asking for the same thing and with nothing in the tooltip the menu never showed up. When a field is added to the tooltip it worked just fine.
