You say "ignore Active Dir & SAML concept" but you don't say why. Assuming you are saying you don't want "Guest" which is the most seamless way for unauthenticated access.
And since you express rejection for SAML, then that would rule out Single Sign-On (SSO) which is the other way to do it.
So in the end you can't have it both ways. If you want a scenario in which the users don't have to log in, then you have to either do Guest or SSO -- and those require AD and/or SAML.
If you could explain the why you said that, we could better advise.
Agree with Ken on this -- not sure how you'd accomplish this without enabling Guess access or using Single Sign On.
Tableau Public can always be used, if you don't have any security requirements.
If you entered tableau in your webpage the use some scripts and get end user logins.
but this is not secure one.
Well I was considering Trusted Tickets as another avenue, but I first wanted to understand the aversion to AD and SAML before going down that road...
