I would try tabadmin status -v to check on the status. Also, did you actually check to see if the server was running? If it is, you should look at the admin page, since it provides information about which services are running.
I did check the status, it says Stopped. And asked me to check tabadmin.log.
I even tried restarting the server, but the issue persists.

I can't even ping( thriugh my local machine) the VM where the Tableau Server is installed. Gives me a request time out.
Now I see the error in the log. Your best bet is to contact Tableau support.
By the way, I see that you have McAfee. You should make sure that you have disabled antivirus checking on all Tableau directories. Excluding Tableau Server Folders and Processes from Virus Scans | Tableau Software
One more thing: the error message said "The service did not start due to a logon failure." You should make sure that you've entered the correct credentials for the Tableau server "Run As User".
Tableau Server is installed on a Virtual Machine, which I'm not able to access now.
But, no settings were modified. Wonder why this sudden change.
Edit: As far as I know, the password wasn't changed for the Run as User wasn't changed.
I was going through this. But, isn't this when the Tableau Server is started via command line ? Or it can be the case generally as well ?

use "netsh advfirewall firewall" instead.?

The article you referenced appears to be a good starting point; it doesn't sound like the part about the command line is significant.
The message about "netsh firewall" is just a warning, not a failure.

Give it a try.
Run tabadmin stop .
Go to tableau server configuration page .. enter server password once again ,click ok. It will take some time .
If its a distributed environment then restart machine on which workers installed .

The password for the Run as user account was changed. Gave the new pass and Tableau Server started working.
But, apparently the password was changed almost 10 days ago(Around 16th April)
Why did the Tableau Server stop working now ?
Guessing it's because you didn't restart the server or reboot the machine until recently. Glad to hear that you're back in action!
