Thanks, Mark. I was informed of your post a few days ago, so I downloaded and tried it yesterday. I even shared it with some others. It presents a great amount of useful detail. Very nice!
I spend a lot of time in the Postgres database and would like to see more admin tools like these developed by the userbase for sharing.

Caleb Keller Sep 18, 2014 10:13 PM (in response to Rick Kunkel)At the conference they announced a new user that would be allowed to connect to the server admin data called "Read Only" this user would have more available to them then the default tableau user. They also demoed some tableau public dashboards that easily showed what linked to what else and how to link it.
It was slated for 8.2.3 sometime this month.

At this point, I don't need any more access for this particular workbook. One of the nice things about this workbook is that it deals only with the hist tables and nothing else.
Regardless, I'm looking forward to the read-only user, as I will no longer need to use unsupported methods to get the info I want. I have another utility workbook to evaluate/summarize permissions that will see the light of day once that read-only user exists.
