# Calculated Field  If Dimension Total < x Then Exclude Dimension

Hello, I am very new to Tableau! I have a Live table where I pull in widgets sold. If the sum of Widgets sold is < 2 then I want to exclude it from my totals calculation.

I have used this expression TOTAL(SUM([Number of Records]) >=2) in the it hides the values under each week, but still shows up a 1 in the totals.  I want to exclude these until their Number >=2.

Thank you!! Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely

Rich

Rich,

I would break this into 2 separate calcs for ease.

the first you could call IsActive: Defined as > 2 widgets sold.

if SUM([Number of Records]) > 2 then 1 else 0 end

The second calc would read as follows:

case [IsActive]

when 1 then Total(SUM([Number of Records]) ) end

Try that... if the CASE statement doesn't work try switching it to:

if [IsActive] = 1 then....else 0 end

hope this helps,

Joshua
