How to insert totals in bar chart / treemap combo?

Hi,

I'm not sure what this chart is called, but I like it. It's a combination of a bar chart and a treemap. The problem I have is that I can't get the totals for the bar to display. I don't really care where the totals go. There could be an axis along the bottom, as with a conventional bar chart. Or there could be totals at the ends of the bars. Can anyone suggest how I could show the total for each bar, i.e. the total for each region?

Create a calc for totals:
example
window_sum(sum([Sales]))

Your example would be:

window_sum(countd([Resp...]))

convert to discrete and then place on rows to the right of region.
Compute using Country (My example was state)

What do you mean by "compute using country"? I'm OK doing what you recommend but when I try to place the Total field on the rows shelf I get a warning saying it can't display grand totals. Which I guess is because I don't want a grand total, I want a total by country within a region.

The WINDOW_SUM function looks useful. I hadn't seen that.

Right click on the new "Total" calc in your rows shelf, select compute using> Country (My example shows state)

You do not want a "Grand Totals" in this scenario so make sure they're turned off.
