8.2 Auto "Data Modeling" of Data Dimensions/Measures

    Michael Hatfield

In Bora Beran's blogpost he mentions the auto data modeling (data field NET_INCOME becomes Net Income in the dimensions/measures of Tableau) in 8.2.  For multiple reasons this is actually really stifling for our team not to be able to see the original name/configuration.  The biggest reason:  If we are switching data sources, the names of fields are case sensitive and if one is NET_INCOME and the new data source labels the same data element net_income they will both look the same in Tableau and we won't know why there is a problem.

How can we turn this "auto data modeling" off and see original data field names?
