"The Sheet1 (Data.xls) data source is not supported on Tableau Desktop on the Mac. Before the data source can be refreshed, the data source must be upgraded."

I open a data source that was made with Tableau Desktop 8.1 (Windows) in Tableau Desktop 8.2 (Mac). I want to "Refresh from Source". In Windows, when I clicked that button, Tableau would ask me where the new file is located. But, on a Mac, I'm getting this message:

The Sheet1 (Data.xls) data source is not supported on Tableau Desktop on the Mac. Before the data source can be refreshed, the data source must be upgraded.

There are no instructions to be found anywhere on what this message means or how to fix it. I suspect it relates to the lack of Jet Engine functionality on the Mac (cited in beta testing reports) but that doesn't really help me.

Does anyone know where I can find directions to upgrade the data source?

      Thanks,

      Karen
