Sure--but Actions are based on DATA, so the text must be part of your data. You can use a calculated field (String) to create an action. The link above provides a good example of this, although they end up using a Custom Shape for the action, rather than the String of text. You'd just set it up so the Text string is on the Text/Label shelf instead of the Rows shelf. Let me know if you need an example.

VERY simple version 8.1 workbook example attached, as I'm about to be in a meeting for a while. I used Worksheet actions here, but with the sheets on a Dashboard, it would be the same setup, just use Dashboard actions instead.

Just a follow up.....
I really want a Table of Contents that has a 1:1 title to action assignment.
1 - Cover - --> 1 - Cover (sheet)
2 - Agenda - --> 2 - Agenda (sheet)
3 - Scorecard - --> 3 - Scorecard (sheet)
....
I attempted to add from both Dashboard/TOC sheets but they all lump together as a list (user has to find and select - I will have about 30+ sheets when complete) when I hover over each - see snapshot. Is there a way to assign a 1:1 relationship? Perhaps there is a standard internal URL that I can bake into an Excel spreadsheet to use?!
