Michel Cavas Mar 17, 2014 5:45 AM (in response to Srinivas Anupoju)There is no attached screenshot. But this sounds like a two step table calculation.
First use table calculation to calculate the Running total, next perform a secondary calculation on the result and select Percent of Total.

This appears to be similar to your other thread/question#3 at the link above may help you understand what Michel is suggesting.

Michel Cavas Mar 18, 2014 1:24 AM (in response to Srinivas Anupoju)In your case, duplicate the netusdrevenue measure on the column shelf, then right click on the pill and click on table calculation. Select Running total, and let it be calculated Table(down).
Next check the box for secondary calculation and select percentage of total, and again let it be calculated Table (down).
That should do the trick in your case. Added the workbook as well just to be sure.

Srinivas Anupoju Mar 24, 2014 1:06 AM (in response to Michel Cavas)Hi Mike, am looking for a calculation.
Datasources just distributed by year (20)12,13 n 14
Calculation needed is projection = (2014revenue/cumulative%of2012)+constantamount.
When i am using the calculation, i am seeing the nulls.
Below is the screenshot for the same. Please do not share the data (Couldnt send the .twbx as data is sensitive)
please let me know if am not clear.
Thanks
Srinivas.

8. Re: how to calcualte cumulative percentage?
Michel Cavas Mar 24, 2014 2:23 AM (in response to Srinivas Anupoju)Don't you want to multiply by the percentage and then add the constant? Also, you need to save the table calculation in a calculated field.
So first do this:
Right click on the field with the table calculation (cumulative%) and select 'Edit Table Calculation'
 Click on 'Customize...'
Give the calculated field a name ('measure Cummulative%' for example) and click on ok, and in the following screen click on ok again.
To me it seems you would want to multiply the cumulative% with running total of revenue, and not revenue itself (I leave this one up to you though). And then the constant will be your growth prospect.
So (sum([Revenue])*sum([measure Cummulative%]))+Constant

9. Re: how to calcualte cumulative percentage?
Srinivas Anupoju Mar 24, 2014 10:54 PM (in response to Michel Cavas)Hi Mike,
I am not looking for multiplication of the percentage.
The task is explained below : calculation of a projection of revenue for the current based on previous years
Example:
2014 projection compared with 2012 = (Integer2014 revenue)/(%percentage of 2012 revenue) + Constant(its a integer)
= ((1234567)/(0.41%)) + K(constant)
= (((1234567)*(100))/41) + K(constant)
please let me know if am not clear.
Thanks for your time and help in advance
Srinivas

10. Re: how to calcualte cumulative percentage?
Srinivas Anupoju Mar 24, 2014 11:18 PM (in response to Srinivas Anupoju)The percentage value in the denominator is turning into 100% which in turn gives a 100/100 over the calculation.
How to perform this calculation ?
