Hi Sai --
A hierarchy is frequently used to create a drill path for users - like "Product Categories to Product Subcategories to Products": It provides a logical way for people to explore their data at (often, but not always) a more and more granular level.
Groups are used to "bunch" entities into logical buckets - for example, I might not care about a few specific products - like "Pink Paper Clips", "Purple Pens" and "Mauve Rubber Bands" - so I might "Group" these 3 products into a group I name "Strangely colored office products"...And then I'd use "Strangely Colored Office Products" as I would any other product.
That was helpful in understanding. Can you also describe the difference between Sets and the other two?

Hey Sai --
I'd suggest you watch the free online training about these features. It'll make more sense to you to "see" these features at work then have someone explain them to you in a forum.
Thanks for the Links.
