The only way I can think of to have this sort of behavior is to have a click filter button.
The downside is that the filters all need to be set back to (All) when the user wants to search again.
After all filters are set a button will show up that the user can click to see the result

In Microstrategy we called this PROMPT but here in Tableau there is not such an option but there are some trick which you can use.Following are the tricks, may be these will help.
1) If you are embedding your dashboard in a webpage then this is doable by creating filters outside the dashboard with a APPLY button.
2) If you are in workbook then you can use Pause Update option. Pause Update will stop the visualization & when you change filters it will not going to reflect the changes untill you can use Resume Auto Update option.
3) In Tableau 8.1 there is option of showing Apply Button in Quick Filters but you this option is different for different filter options means if you have 3 filters then you have 3 apply button. I am attaching a file in which there is a button which is working as Apply button. For this working I have used Parameter. Please check the attached file & let me know if this will work for you.
Hope this may help!
