# Calculation field , how to convert functions ??

Hi every one,

I worked with Qlikview 11 and I moved to work with tableau software; where I have to do the same work , but with tableau : I have a function that I will convert them to be compatible to a calculated field , the function is : "

=aggr(if(avg(aggr(count(DISTINCT DESTINATAIRE)/Count(DISTINCT if(aggr(Count(POSITION)>0, DOSSIER),DOSSIER)),DOSSIER))>1 and

avg(aggr(count(DISTINCT EXPEDITEUR)/Count(DISTINCT if(aggr(Count(POSITION)>0, DOSSIER),DOSSIER)),DOSSIER))>1,'Dossier groupage','Dossier complet')

,DOSSIER)"

Jabrane,

if you describe what you are after, and the fields you have available, it will be much easier to help you.

What is it exactly that you looking for? Most importantly, what do each of these variable signify?

Manas , Andrew , thank you for your attention ;

I m looking axactly to make a Filter that can make difference between " Dossier Complet " and " Dossier groupage"; that are 2 types of " Dossier".( Documents)

That filter contain just 2 values and it's based on a calculated field named " CMPL/GRP".

My calclation function based on 4 fields:

• DESTINATAIRE
• DOSSIER
• POSITION
• EXPEDITEUR

In QlikView I maked the calculated filter and it worked correctly , but , now i moved to work with Tableau that's why I looking to convert the same function to be ok in tableau .

Hi Jabrane,

To create a calculated field to distinguish between " Dossier Complet " and " Dossier groupage", you'll need to do some string manipulation:

RIGHT( [Dossier Column], LEN( [Dossier Column] ) - FIND( [Dossier Column], ' ') )

- Where [Dossier column] is dimension containing document groupage/ complet.

Can you post a sample package workbook with the intended output format? It would be very helpful. This seems easy, but would be quicker if I have something to play around with.
