    Showing  top X number of items as well as items themselves which form say 40% of total cost for a month

      Hi!,

       

      I am still learning the ropes of tableau and wanted communities helping in solving one of the problems.

       

      I have a table like below

      I want to achieve the following:

       

      a) Show the top X number of items which form 50% of the cost in a month for 12 months. The intent is to show that 10% of the items cost 50% of the cost every month of the year

      b) Show the top X items which form 50% of the cost in a month for 12 months. The intent is to show that more or less same X items result in 50% of the cost every month of the year

       

       

       

      I tried with Percentage of total (Running_Total(Sum(Monthly cost)) plotted against but did not find the representation appealing.

       

      Any help will be highly appreciated
