Reference Lines Based on filter of other sheet

    Minat Verma

      Hi ,

I am trying to create reference lines based on filter value of other sheet.

The reference lines needs to be dropped from the Slider filter component used above the trend.

But i don't want the filter to act upon the Trend, only upon the cross-tab in the dashboard below.

Is there any way I can do it?

      Have attached a sample workbook.

      Any help will be appreciated.

      Thanks,

      Minat

I think I understand what you want--you can add a reference line to label the start/end dates, but I don't think you'll find a way to have the line drop on the Trend graph at the spot where the filter slider stops.  In the attached, I added the labels as reference lines, but I don't believe there is a way to have the graph update to match the location on the filter slider.

I could be wrong, though, as I've seen some pretty sweet workarounds in the past.

            Thanks for trying this Matthew.

The solution you posted is fine, but that was not i am looking for.

I want the Whole trend to be visible All the time.

To Sum It up, Can't I add a reference line to my trend without using the date filter from the Cross-tab sheet.

I am Still on it though, I will Post if I find a valid Workaround.

            Till then Best Regards,

            Minat
