You really should be raising this on the 8.1 beta forum or with beta support as 8.1 is not live yet.
why? I had issue with Tableau 8.0, not 8.1 beta!

Sorry, misread the reference to 8.1 - you meant Windows not Tableau
You may wish to raise it with Support and mark as high priority if it's causing loss of service?
problem solved, it turns out just need license restore after Windows upgrade from 8.0 to 8.1
