I am new to Tableau - finding it awesome but pretty steep learning curve.
I have 2 (SQL Server) tables Contacts and Activities.
I want to extract and graph the number of activities (eg pageviews) into bands eg 1 Page view; 2-5 Page views; 6-10 Page views; 10+ Page views
So the data from the inner join in SQL Server would look thus:
This would be relatively trivial in SQL Server but I have tried lots of approaches in Tableau (groups, sets, bins, Calculated Fields etc) and cannot work it out.
Can someone help?
OK I got it solved - Bins were the go, I had missed the step to add the Level of Detail - as per this article.
