Our institution is relatively new to Tableau. My CEO recently downloaded the iPad app and gets an error saying the server doesn't exist. We have several of us currently using the app that have entered the same server name without any problems. Has anyone else seen this issue and if so, how do I fix it? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on his iPad as well as rebooting the actual server.
Sounds more like a network thing to me -- Can your boss use Safari on his iPad to browse to the server and login? If no, then it's an network/connectivity issue, if so - then it probably IS the app.
