View Swapping in Dashboard based on Relative Date range found in quick filter?

    Jack Powell

      Hi All,

My issue is I'd like to keep the relative date range quick filter on my dashboard, but requirements state that the view's Date/Time axis should adjust based on the options I'm presenting in the quick filter.

      For example:

      - If I choose "Last X Quarters" then the axis should have tick marks and aggregation based on quarters

      - If I choose "Last X Years" then the axis should have tick marks and aggregation based on years... etc

I've seen some similar threads (http://community.tableau.com/thread/125123?start=0&tstart=0) but I'm looking to see if View Swapping is possible based on what the quick filter selection is?

For example, I could simply have a view with the Date/Time pill drilled down to the appropriate level (day, year, month, etc) and then have some sort of conditional filter that pulls the appropriate level from the quick filter and shows this with view swapping?

      Any thoughts?

      Thanks,

      -Jack
