I'm completely new at using calculated fields and parameters, so I really have no idea how to do this seemingly simple operation.
I have population data for 8 municipalities over 11 years, categorized into 6 age groups.
What I want to do is make a calculation for the total change in population over these 11 years, both per municipality and age group but also total change per municipality and total change for all municipalities. I would like to calculate the change both in number of people and percentages.
I don't think I've really grasped how these features work, because i can't figure out how to do this. I've tried things like creating one field
if [year] = 2025 then [number of people], another field for 2011, then a third field for subtracting the first field from the second, but apparently it doesn't work that way. Help is appreciated!
Hi Alexander,
It sounds like you'll probably want to use some table calculations. These links should get you started:

Are you able to post a packaged workbook (twbx file)?
