I have a datasource based on a high number of joins. When using the right filters, it responds quite well.
However, when adding a filter the query sent to the database in order to fill the list of available values is based on the initial query (with all the joins), but with all filters removed (no where clause), which can take hours.
The unique solution I have found to this problem is to pass through a sql server table function.
This approach works perfectly, the response times have dropped, but it has the annoying drawback of the custom sql warning being displayed whenever a workbook based on this datasource is opened.
I didn't find any parameter to suppress this message. Does somebody have knowledge about such a configuration item (or another idea of solving my original problem)?
