I would like to do percentage calculations using Sums across different rows (each row uses a different Measure field). Like if you were in Excel and had multiple Sum cells from different places and wanted to reference them to calculate things like percentage.
I have looked through all the Language elements for Table Calculations, and see no way to reference outside my current set of Measure values. For example, LOOKUP can only reference indexed values within my current Measure for a Table Calculation.
Is it possible to reference values in other Measure value-sets in a Table Calculation?
I can't Sum on import because I need to vary my filtering dynamically, and show percentages of the Sums against each other that automatically change accordingly.
Thanks for any help.
I don't think you need to do a table calculation to achieve this... just use an aggregate level calculation.
For example
Profit Ratio = SUM(Profit) / Sum(Sales)
Then you can slice this new measure up just as you would any other measure by putting dimensions into the view.
