      TOPIC

"How to Set up and Run an Analytics Department"

      SPEAKER

      Lloyd Tokerud, Director of Analytics

      Hudson Energy

The analytics movement has brought enough case studies of companies that have got it right vs. not to reveal some interesting lessons. It’s not about the size of your budget or the sophistication of your tools, it’s about the people process: who they are, how they approach the company, and what they tackle vs. ignore. Parts of this may be common sense to you, but something’s guaranteed to provide fresh insight into the fundamentals of what makes analytics “tick”.

Lloyd Tokerud is the Director of Analytics for Hudson Energy, a top retailer of electricity in the deregulated North American markets. Prior to this, he spent nearly a decade at PepsiCo, learning business analytics and management from one of the most consistent performers in the CPG space. From there, he moved to the Energy industry to lead an analytics department for First Choice Power, an electrical rep in the deregulated Texas market. Lloyd has spoken at multiple industry conferences, including the Tableau, Utility Analytics, and Strategy Institute conferences.
