I have a table that shows a count of Emergency Department Visits by Facility over time. The Counts are shown by month, each month represents a column in the table then I have a running sum at the end which displays the total ED Visits for the Time Period Selected for each facility. The dashboard user has requested the ability to have a filter that allows the user to select only the facilities that have between X and Y Visits per year, essentially a range. So let's say they only want to see Facilities that have between 1000 and 2000 Visits within that time period. The names of the columns are:
Total ED Visits
How can I grab the running sum for the time period selected and create a quick filter that allows me to do this?
From your description, it sounds like the TOTAL(SUM([x])) or WINDOW_SUM(SUM([x])) function is going to get you what you need, rather than a running sum. Can you post a packaged workbook?
