Hi Yusef -
I don't understand - how much time would it take to create 200 dashboards? How much money?
Yusuf, it depends on the shape, size, format, cleanliness and number of data sources. And the number of sheets and complexity of the calculation on each dashboard. Email me with details and I can help you with an estimate.

Hi Russell and Shawn thanks for the quick response.
Shawn- very true really it depends on the complexity of the reports. Just wanted to create a worksheet of effort estimation on SAP XCELCIUS and +ABLEAU, so if you can help me till some level it really appriciate.
Yusuf, I'm going to take a pass on this one. When you figure out what you really need, I'll be happy to help.
PS: I'm curious how much do 200 houses cost in your country?
+1 on Shawn's response
Without more input from you, any numbers that people threw at you from these forums are make-believe and would have no meaning in the real world.
Here's what I suggest you do:
- Find a volunteer who has used neither Xcelsius or Tableau, but who is moderately technical - a "power user" type.
- Download and install an eval of each tool for the user (or let them try to do so themselves!)
- Point them to online resources on how to use each tool and give them some simple data to work with
- Give them an 2 hours with each tool and ask them to create a basic dashboard with a few charts, a map, and some filters
...Then see how far they get in each tool in that 2 hour period and interview them about their experiences.
The feedback that you're likely to get is that Tableau is far easier to use, and the user will likely get much further along with your project than they would in Xcelsius. But don't take my word for it - you need to see it for yourself.
