I think I figured it out, first I thought there is no way to do that, it seems that in the example it is hidden by placing an blank worksheet as floating on top of the main Gantt chart. Though I realized later that if I right click on the left header and Edit Axis, delete the info in the Title area so it is blank, then in the Tick Marks tab select 'none' and apply, that will hide the left axis header, and leave the right one intact.

Go to format->choose shading color to "white". To remove border go to formatting of axis & choose "None". I think this will help.
I solved this on another chart by creating a calculated field called blank and giving it the value 0.
I then added blank to the left of my row shelf.
This moves the 'main' axis to the right.
I then edited the Blank axis so the fixed start was 0 and the fixed end was 1
I removed the blank label
Finally formatted the blank axis text to white
