Thanks Joshua. To further clarify, what I'm looking to achieve is to move the whole axis up (with your example this would include the dates). Not sure if it's possible however.
The reason why I'd like to do this is I have a list of items with three columns metrics (shown as three horizontal bar charts). Currently the headers for the items are at the top of the sheet, but the headers for the metrics are at the bottom (so it looks weird)
One way this can be done, although it is a bit of a workaround is to create a dual axis with the continuous date field. If using Joshua's example place Month(Order Date) on the columns shelf. Then, right click on Order Date in the data box and select Duplicate. Use this copy of the Order Date and place Month of it on the columns shelf next to the original. Then, right click on it and select Dual Axis.
Finally, right click on the axis at the bottom of the view and select Format... In the Format box to the left, change the Font color to white and set the Ticks to None.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Tracy, that works. I got most of the way there but was trying to hide the bottom header (rather than setting to white), the result of which was both headers vanished!
Yeah, that's what I had tried as well. Hiding the header from the left most pill will cause both headers to disappear. Only the top or right axes can be hidden with the bottom and left showing. But trying to hide only the bottom and left will result in all headers being hidden. Ideas section!
