    Counts in Bins Not Correct??

    Olga Polyakov

      Hi All,

      I recently asked about how to make bins of uneven size and got a very helpful answer.  I was instructed to do this, and seemed to work.

      if [2013 FN] >= 0 and [2013 FN] <= 2 then "0 - 2"
      elseif [2013 FN] >2 and [2013 FN] <=2.5 then "2 - 2.5"

      elseif [2013 FN] >2.5 and [2013 FN] <=3 then "2.5 - 3"

      elseif [2013 FN] > 3 and [2013 FN] <=3.5 then "3 - 3.5"

      elseif [2013 FN] >3.5 and [2013 FN] <=4 then "3.5 - 4"
      elseif [2013 FN]>4 then "gt 4"
      end

      However, when I look at the cross tab and the results didn't look right.  First of all, I got decimals when it should be an integer.  So, I looked at the raw data in excel and compared for one subject.  In fact, even the totals for are off.  There are 60 total classes in the AFE department, and Tableau is count 207.  I got the 60 from filter on department in excel.

      I am attaching the correct and incorrect version.

      Thanks for your thoughts.
