I would create a parameter with the values 1 to 5, have display values per your descriptions, then use a case statement that could be used as a date field or filter
when 1 then [date]
when 2 then if datediff('day',[date],today())<60 then [date] end
when 3 then if datediff('day',[date],today())<120 then [date] end
when 4 then if [date]>#9/15/2012# and [date]<#11/20/2012# then [date] end
Very useful. My issue with this approach is when I add the CF to the filter I can't seem to do a conditional argument (i.e. parameter.daterange = [daterange]). I get the error "Can't compare datetime and integer values"
Nice. Works a treat.
