Display all Categories for a variable in Table/Chart Always

      Hi,

I'm fairly new to Tableau. I've only used it the last week or so. I'm having some issues with quick filters removing categories I want to keep in the view regardless if there is no data. What I want to do is create a chart or table where I always have 5 categories displayed regardless of what quick filters have been selected by the users. Even if the filters result in 0 observations for that member. Can this be done in Tableau?

I'm looking for an answer similar to the following question posted but for a non date field. http://community.tableau.com/message/191960#191960 I can't seem to find that option for categorical variables.

      The

Table Prior to quick filter selection

      Town   Cars

        A         2

        B        10

        C          4

        D         12

        E         29

      Table desired after filter selection

      Town   Cars

        A

        B          3

        C          2

        D

        E         11

Table Tableau actually gives me after filter selection

      Town   Cars

        B          3

        C          2

        E         11

Any help would be nice. Can it be done?
