    MySQL connection

    Jonathan TRAJKOVIC

      Hello everybody !

I would like to ask a question about MySQL connection. Let me explain my issue. I need to connect to InfiniDB. The only way is to connect by MySQL connector. I check the MySQL connector included in Tableau Desktop and I was surprised. Indeed, the version in the ODBC drivers is 3.51 !! So I asked to Google for the latest version of MySQL connector and it is the version 5.2.2 !! I tried to connect to InfiniDB with this version of connector but I have an error :

Tableau identified the following warnings for the ODBC data source named 'etab_men':

Tableau was unable to determine support for the following: SELECT ... INTO

      This aggregation is unsupported: Attribute

      This aggregation is unsupported: Day

      This aggregation is unsupported: Hour

      This aggregation is unsupported: Median

      This aggregation is unsupported: Minute

      This aggregation is unsupported: Month

      This aggregation is unsupported: Quarter

      This aggregation is unsupported: Second

This aggregation is unsupported: Week Number

      This aggregation is unsupported: Year

This function is unsupported: DATETIME with parameter types 'integer'

This function is unsupported: POWER with parameter types 'float, integer'

      This is unsupported: Temporary tables

I attached a screenshot of the error.

I think that the MySQL connector provide with Tableau Desktop is optimized for Tableau Desktop. That's why the ODBC connector give this error. So my question is : does anybody know if the MySQL connector will be uptaded soon ? Indeed, even with the error, the connection is faster than the connector provided.

By davance, thank you for the answers.

      Best regards.

      Jonathan.
