Your logic isn't quite right... when it gets to 'IF less than 0' then that applies to everything left and it never gets to less than -1 because that is ALSO less than 0.
Keep using more than >
ELSEIF [Deadline Days] > -1 Then "Deadline Passed Today"
ELSEIF [Deadline Days] > -2 Then "Deadline 1 Day Passed"

Paul, the lines execute in order, and 'end' when the first true statement is reached. If you put the Deadline Passed Today as the last statement then the last two statements will be evaluated prior to the Today statement. Also, you'll want to the > -2 before the >-1 or the -2 will be ignored.
It's not clear what your date format is, but you might consider using <= or >= for you statements. That way if something exactly 2 days, then it will fall into the 2 Days category, instead of the 1 Day bin.
