The underlying data has changed. - not exactly sure how you would do this...but I refreshed the data...nothing..I created an extract...nothing. publishing after each item. The data is fields straight out of db with no calculations. Just displaying them as is. I downloaded the latest Tableau desktop and reloaded it. just to see...nothing. I assume this loaded the latest drivers too.
verify that Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server are running the same SQL Server driver versions -
Not sure where to get that info from. I didnt see a drivers directory. This is what I found.
On desktop pro edition- I have Tableau 7.0.0 Product Version 7000.12.0803.2200.
On desktop pro edition- I am running Microsoft SQL Server 2012
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 11.0.2100.60
Microsoft Analysis Services Client Tools 11.0.2100.60
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 6.1.7601.17514
Microsoft MSXML 3.0 4.0 5.0 6.0
Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.30319.269
Operating System 6.1.7601
On server - i cannot get on server at the moment to check this part out as we have an admin who must do that. I will keep after this.
Fields from the same table display in the sheet above and below this one.
I am not using the run as server account yet. - Within the dashboard I have 4-5 sheet. They all use the same database. Some even use the same table just different fields. They all display correct. I don't think the user permissions are down to the individual fields themselves.
Still no solution. Thanks. anyone else
I wouldn't spend too much time on other things until you make sure that the SQL Server drivers on your client are the same as on the Tableau Server. You mentioned you'll have to wait for an admin to check this out.
Ask him or her to download / install the latest greatest SQL Server drivers from http://www.tableausoftware.com/support/drivers or from Microsoft itself and install them on Tableau Server. They should point you to which drivers they used, and you should install them, too.
Then, open/save/re-publish your workbook.
